Barbara Dennerlein’s 2009 North American Tour

March 3, 2009

North American fans will also get a chance to catch Barbara live in 2009.

She’ll be appearing at the famous Green Mill Lounge:

Now in its 100th year, the Green Mill embodies the Golden Age, subsequent decay and present renaissance of the neighborhood that surrounds it, and serves a superb martini to boot. Long ago, one “Machinegun” McGurn ran the joint — the man behind the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre who was rumored to “coerce” the talent onto Green Mill’s stage. Today, you can sit in Al Capone’s booth (facing both the front and side doors), while listening to some world-class jazz until the wee hours for a cover charge less than an average order at Starbucks. You’ll enter the spotlight when you take a leak as the johns are located right next to the stage. “The Mill” also hosts the Uptown Poetry Slam every Sunday, where poets seek to avoid (literally) getting run off the stage.  Esquire

  1. Hi,

  4. Barbara Dennerlein is incredible! I can watch her videos over and over and never get tired of seeing a master at work!

I wish Barbara could perform somewhere near Texas. (like at the Myerson Symphony Hall in Dallas) We never get to see a master like her with her talents. What she can do with her fingers and legs&feet is out of this world! I’m always amazed when I see organists who can play pedals so well. I play the Hammond pretty well, but never developed skills using the pedals. After seeing Barbara (and Rhonda) do it, it makes me want to go back to the drawing board and practice practice practice!!!!
At least make an appearance on Jay Leno’s show or something. I guarantee the band will give her a standing ovation! That would be a real honor because they’ve only done that with one other musician.
Keith Emerson was my absolute favorite for years, but I’m pretty sure Barbara has taken over that spot.
Hope to see her soon! There’s more going on in Texas than most people realize (Van Cliburn comes from this area)
